Welcome back all Resica Teachers, Staff, Parents & Students:

Hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing summer off!!  This year the PTO will be running quite a few school wide fundraisers as well as individual grade fundraisers to help pay for the field trips each grade takes.  The following are the fundraisers we already have booked with the dates they are running just so you know what’s going on: 

Entertainment Books – Each child will get a book & order form – books need to be returned to me if they family has not purchased it – if a book is returned if you could either make sure the order form is attached to it or you put a sticky note on it with the child’s name (we cannot write on the books) that would be helpful as Entertainment will send out invoices to the parents that don’t return or pay for the book.  Books & Forms go out 9/26/08 & need to be returned to me 10/17/08. 

Surreybrook Farms – This is our big one instead of Gifts n Things. This one is cheesecakes, pizza, cookie dough and knick knacks & gift wrap.  This one will go out on 9/19/08 and be returned to me by 10/3/08.

Original Artwork – We did a similar version of this last year but have more choices.  This one Mrs. O will be starting in Art Class and then will pass the unfinished cards to each of you to have the child finish in class during a break.  She will give everyone full instructions on what needs to be done and when it needs to be back to her.  I will be sending home the Artwork and forms with the kids on 10/17/08 and it needs to be back to me by 10/24/08.

Joe Corbi Cookie Dough – This is the tubs of cookie dough.  The forms & books will go out on 10/31/08 and will need to be back to me by 11/17/08.

Rita’s 10% off Total Order Forms – We are working with Rita’s Ice’s on getting discount cards to use when you visit Rita’s.  Forms will go out to pre-order cards on 2/2/09.  The cost is $5.00 card.

Gertrude Hawk Candy – This one will be for Easter – forms & books will go out on 2/23/09 & need to be returned to me 3/6/09.

CURRENT ON-LINE ORDERING -- Go to website www.currentfun.com place an order and when you check out you need to enter our state (PA), then find our group (Resica Elementary PTO).  The Participant # will be the grade number and the teachers last name (i.e. 1Varner).  The PTO receives 50% of all orders.  The order is ship to you directly.  So tell all your friends and family.

MR. Z’s RECEIPTS AND BOX TOPS – Please send them in with your child and make sure the homeroom teacher’s name is on it so your child’s class will get credit.

Send in your used ink cartridges and old cell phones.  Our school gets paid for what we turn in.
